Two more leave the nest...
The baby pasture is looking positively empty since two more of our 2007 foals went to a new home on New Year's Day! We met John and Cindy Guirell, also of McKenna, last summer but the time wasn't right for them to add more horses to their family. This winter, Cindy sadly lost her much-loved 23 year old gelding, and her mare was miserable all alone. She came by and decided to buy Vinnie...but realized he'd be even happier if he had his buddy Dallas with him, so now she has one by each of our stallions. Vinnie is by Sierras Super Star out of A Lovely Reflection by KLR Reflection, and Dallas is by KLR Reflection out of Zippin Friday. The Guirells have an idyllic, beautiful place - a real horse paradise - in an equestrian development near our farm, so we will be able to drive by regularly and see the boys playing in their pasture! We could not have asked for a nicer home for these young geldings and wish the Guirells many happy years with them.Vinnie is at left, Dallas is pictured below taking a nap!
We are keeping Etta Success's filly (pictured snoozing in our last post) for our broodmare band, so this leaves only two 2007 foals for sale. We still have Timmy, a liver chestnut gelding by Sierras Super Star out of Dignified Annie. He has an elegant head and neck, beautiful hip and sweet disposition...a perfect pleasure prospect. We also have Elvis, a huge and stout palomino colt who is by KLR Reflection out of Sindy Sabre, a full sister to Favor Mr. Sabre, earner of over 2000 AQHA points. Just e-mail us to meet either one of the boys!
